Our products are shipped via Japan’s postal service system, Japan Post, and also DHL. Japan Post works in cooperation with the postal service in your country to deliver your items. Japan Post orders are shipped by International E-Packet that includes tracking and insurance up to 6,000yen. Shipping rates are calculated by weight based on the shipping address you enter on this site. You will be personally notified after your purchase, and adjustments will be made to ensure the best possible shipment. DHL is an international courier with its own postal system and using third party delivery services when necessary to remote locations. DHL shipments are not insured and if you would like insurance on your shipment please contact us before completing an order through the website. Neither ObubuTea.com nor its Partners are responsible for loss or damage of shipment after it has been sent from the post office in Japan. However, in the event of non-delivery, or in the event of damage to shipment, please contact us immediately and we will attempt to rectify the situation to the best of our ability. Photographic evidence may be very helpful, please take photographs immediately upon arrival if you believe something is wrong with the shipment.

Returns & Refunds

In general, all sales on this Website are final. However, we may accept returns and/or refunds on a case by case basis if your package has arrived damaged or defective in some way. Please be sure to take photographic evidence and contact us immediately.

Customs & Import Taxes

Please note that customs regulations vary from country to country and officials in various countries may inspect your shipment, including intrusive inspection (opening of your package). Neither ObubuTea.com nor its Partners can guarantee any method to prevent this from happening. We are also unable to mark items as “gifts” as this is both illegal and has no bearing on whether a package is or is not inspected. You are responsible for any import taxes or other duties that may be charged by your the customs and postal services of your country.


Processing of orders generally requires 2-3 business days, but may require longer time in some cases due to inventory or backlog. A notice will be sent to you when your item is shipped.

Shipping Time

Japan Post International E-Packet shipments generally takes 10-14 days, but may take longer depending on the time of year and your region. If you have not received your item within 21 business days, please contact us.

DHL shipments generally take 3-10 days, but may take longer depending on the time of year and your region. If you have not received your item within 17 business days, please contact us.


All wholesale orders are bound by wholesale terms and conditions. Completion of the payment for the wholesale order shall be deemed conclusive evidence that a buyer accepts wholesale terms and conditions.

Product Specifications

Obubu Tea reserves the right to change materials, dimensions and design of its products as long as it does not affect product quality and performance. In case of such change, Obubu Tea will supply a product that is as similar as possible to that a buyer has ordered.


The price of products is confirmed at the time of an order placement and is fixed until the order is fulfilled. Obubu Tea reserves the right to change prices, if a buyer makes any changes to the order or fails to provide necessary information to complete the order. Prices on the website or in a wholesale pricelist are subject to change without prior notice to account for changes in production costs and regulations. Domestic sales tax/VAT is included in the price. Import duties and/or taxes are sole responsibility of a buyer.

Minimum Order

To take advantage of wholesale prices, a minimum order is 30,000yen.


Full payment is required prior to order dispatch. Payment is accepted in Japanese yen and is handled through Paypal or Stripe.

Shipping and Returns

Wholesale orders are shipped under EXW incoterms through a buyer-selected shipping method normally within 10 business days after payment is received. A buyer is informed at a time of placing an order in case order processing may take longer. Depending on the size of the order, available shipping methods are: Express Airmail, Standard Airmail, FedEx, DHL. Delivery times vary depending on shipping method and country of delivery. It is possible for the customer to organize their own shipping. In that case orders will be prepared under Ex Works incoterms. All sales are final. Obubu Tea does not accept returns of tea, as it is a perishable item. A replacement of products or refund is only available in an event of a faulty or incorrect product.

Responsibility and Risks

Obubu Tea ensures that the products are ready for shipping. The responsibility over the ordered products during shipping belongs to the buyer (EXW incoterms). Obubu Tea cannot provide a replacement of products or refund for products damaged or lost in transit. Obtaining import/export licence as well as ensuring compliance with all regulations governing admission of the products into the country of delivery is buyer’s responsibility. Obubu Tea cannot provide a replacement of products or refund in the event of non-compliance with country of delivery regulations. Obubu tea shall not be liable for delay or failure to deliver ordered products due to government action, legislation or regulation, natural or human caused disasters, or any other circumstances whatsoever outside of reasonable control. Order insurance is buyer’s responsibility and is highly recommended to mediate risks. Some shipping methods may have insurance included; otherwise it is normally available with a carrier at an additional fee.
