◾️細井堅太先生とは
細井農園は、1900年に和束町中にて細井兵次郎が創業し、2代目源次郎、3代目一夫、4代目一憲、5代目当代当主(細井堅太)へと122年続く和束町を代表する日本茶生産農家です。(2022年現在) 当代堅太は大学卒業後、静岡県島田市にある国立野菜茶業研究所にて2年間茶業を学び、特に製造分野を専攻し荒茶製造工程から仕上げ工程、手もみ製茶工程を深く学びました。2018年には、全国手もみ製茶技術競技大会にて最優秀賞を獲得し日本一になりました。和束茶手揉技術保存会会長や、京都府茶業連合青年団副団長も歴任し、和束茶ブランド認知度向上にも寄与しています。そのため、2021年7月放送の、N H Kの和束茶紹介番組で紹介されたり、東京オリンピックの聖火ランナーにも選ばれました経歴あり。
2023年11月16日第27回全国手揉み製茶技術競技大会においても、和束茶手揉技術保存会の代表選抜チーム（メンバー・同氏と、京都おぶぶ茶苑代表 喜多章浩、国際日本茶協会代表 鈴木シモナ）3人の一人として、最優秀賞を獲得し２回目の日本一になりました。
Fully immerse yourself in tea in this once-in-a-lifetime, hands-on tea making experience, hosted just four times a year by Kenta-san, a tea expert with lifelong experience traditionally hand-rolling high grade sencha.
You’ll be able to make your own tea from start to finish completely by hand- you’ll pan fire the leaves, and hand roll them on hoiro, a traditional Japanese hand rolling table, and then take home the tea to enjoy with friends and family!

Workshop Price
The tour is available for up to 12 people and is 30,000yen/person. The price includes:
- Tea refreshments
- Take home your own tea
Workshop Booking Steps:
- To book your place on the workshop please select a date from the calendar below.
- After submitting the booking form you will be directed to a payment page. Please make the payment at the time of the booking (you cannot return to the payment page afterwards).
- Your tour is reserved once the payment is confirmed (Stripe confirmation is regarded as the tour confirmation).
Cancellation:
- More than 14 days before the tour date: Full refund
- 14 – 7 days before the tour date: 80% refund
- 6 – 3 days before the tour date: 50% refund
- Less than 3 days before the tour date: No refund
- Booked through crowd funding: No refund
- In case of a refund, we will refund you the amount after deducting Stripes’ Transfer and Booking Fees.
