Japanese Tea Activities in Berlin 1st September

Obubu is coming to Berlin for the second time! Hosted and supported by the Berlin Tea Academy we are bringing you specialty Japanese tea all the way from Wazuka, Kyoto, Japan. Are you curious about Japanese Matcha or wonder how to make a good cup of Sencha? Do you want to know more about Japanese tea production and tea traditions in Japan? We have something just for you – a Japanese Tea Seminar and Meet a Tea Farmer Event on 1st September.

Japanese Tea Seminar

Japanese tea has grown in popularity all around the world. Not many know, however, how it is made or how enjoy it properly. On 1st September we will hold a Japanese Tea Seminar that will provide an introduction to Japanese tea. You will learn how Japanese tea is cultivated and produced as well as, what culture and traditions it has developed through time. The event will also introduce a few common ways to brew Japanese tea and you will be able to taste some specialTea directly from Japan.

Japanese Tea Seminar will be led by Matsu-san – a charismatic Japanese tea instructor and vice president of Obubu with more than 14 years of experience in Japanese tea; and Simona – a Japanese tea author and Obubu’s international department manager with 5 years of experience in Japanese tea.

Don’t miss a chance to try some beautiful Japanese teas and learn directly from the origin.

Meet a Tea Farmer Event

On the 1st September you can also join the Meet a Tea Farmer Event. It is a free-style event with no set program –  you can simply come by to meet Matsu and Simona from Obubu Tea and learn more about their teas as well as tea related activities. You may also be able to taste some of their teas directly from Japan.

Come connect with the origin and learn about the direct tea trade.
