Hey y’all, its Dhvani, welcome back to my channel! Jokes aside, I was so excited to bring my creativity to this project. I initially started working on a different project with Miwako-san, but eventually decided to work on the Obubu cafe welcome sign with Tran. Due to a rampant increase in tasting and testing cafe drinks, we decided an updated and modern sign could match all the cool effort put into the new and improved cafe menu. I started by brainstorming ideas with Tran: we put a moodboard together for the aesthetic we want the cafe sign to be (shoutout Pinterest!).

After putting together a moodboard, I got to work. The first step was to remove any previous paint that had been left on the chalkboard. I spread some paint remover and hoped for the best.
After getting most of the paint off, I decided to put together a final sketch!
The goal for this cafe sign was to be cute, minimalistic, and convey important information in a concise manner.
I asked Tran for input along the way, and finally decided on the sign shown above!
