Hi, my name is Leah. I am intern #224. My ambassador project focused on updating the earthquake section of our Health and Safety Manual. Since Obubu did not have a dedicated earthquake evacuation plan, I developed one specifically for Obubu, including a designated assembly area and a map indicating where all the evacuation points are in Wazuka.
I also updated the locations with photos of where all first aid kits are and restocked them with any missing essential items. The emergency contacts also needed updating, so I added any missing numbers.
As a potential continuation of this project, the “Other Disasters” section (Section 4) states that individual manuals are available for each of the listed disasters. However, these manuals have not yet been developed. A future health and safety manual project could focus on creating dedicated manuals for each of these disaster scenarios.
